Hi Everyone, For this weeks learning journal we wil be discussing social media and social media trends. Sticking to the topic of the week I want to start of discussing the article on sproutsocial by Ronnie Gomez from this weeks readings. The article discusses some of the latest social media trends. The one standing out most to me is "edutainment". This is growing quickly and companies are starting to create informative content that is also entertaining. This is the type of content that is needed for everyone of all ages. Informative content that also can grasp the audience attention and keep it will get its point across more so than something that is strictly informative. I like this. This is the type of social media trend that I believe can stand the test of time. "Edutainment" is not something that will just fizzle out.
